With the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, which is expected to be celebrated on March 31 (tentatively, based on the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon), traffic diversions will be in effect across Lucknow. These restrictions will primarily be enforced from early morning until afternoon (6 am to 1 pm) on both March 30 and 31 to facilitate Eid namaz gatherings.

The diversions will mainly impact Old Lucknow, including key areas such as Pakka Pul, Hussainabad, Aishbagh Idgah, and several other locations. Read on to find out which routes are to remain affected.

Here's a comprehensive list of affected routes

- No vehicles will be allowed from Sitapur Road towards Daliganj Railway Crossing.

- Similarly, general traffic from Pakka Pul's Khadra Side towards Tile Wali Masjid will be restricted.

- Old Pakka Pul will remain completely closed, and the entire stretch from Koneshwar Chauraha in Chowk to Bada Imambara, including the road leading to Pakka Pul, will also be off-limits.

- Traffic movement will be restricted from Chowk intersection towards Neebu Park, and no vehicles will be allowed from Shahmeena trisection towards Pakka Pul.

- Large vehicles will remain restricted from Eveready trisection towards Mill Area, while on Tulsi Das Marg, only those heading for namaz will be allowed from Mill Area to Bulakki Adda.

- Further restrictions include Naka to Aishbagh and Yahiyaganj to Aishbagh Eidgah, where only namaz attendees’ vehicles will be allowed.

- Additionally, vehicles will not be able to move from Raqabganj Pul crossing towards Nakkhas or Yahiyaganj.

To ensure smooth traffic management and a peaceful procession, barricading and police teams will be deployed in the affected areas. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly on both March 30 and 31 to avoid inconvenience.
