Traffic restrictions issued for Bakrid Namaz in Lucknow; Check alternative routes here

The traffic restrictions will be in effect from 6 AM onwards, tomorrow, and will continue until the conclusion of the Namaz.

Due to the upcoming festival of Id-ul-Adha, falling on June 29th, i.e., tomorrow, several traffic diversions will be implemented in Lucknow to accommodate the Namaz procession.

To ensure convenience for the general public, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate has issued a detailed list of traffic diversions and alternate routes. These measures will be in effect from 6 AM onwards and will continue until the conclusion of the Bakrid Namaz.

Here's a comprehensive list of traffic diversions and alternative routes

The Old Pakka Pul road and the route adjacent to Tile Wali Masjid will remain completely closed for public commute.

  • Vehicles coming from Sitapur Road via Daliganj Railway Crossing can take a left turn from the crossing Overbridge and proceed towards intersection no. 8, Niralanagar, and then towards the IT crossing.

  • Vehicles coming from the Khadra intersection can opt the Bandha Road and move towards the new Pakka Pul to reach their desired destination.

  • All vehicles including roadways buses coming from Hardoi Road/Balaganj intersection can reach their destination by proceeding towards the Koneshwar Chowk take a right turn towards the Chowk crossing to reach their desired destination.

  • All vehicles moving from the Convention Centre intersection can opt the Medical College or Daliaganj Bridge route, move towards IT crossing proceed towards their desired destination.

Public transportation will be restricted on the route between Rumi Gate Chauraha, Ghantaghar/Nimbu Park and Bada Imambara.

  • Vehicles heading from Ghantaghar/Nimbu Park can move towards the Koneshwar Tiraha and use the New Pakka Pul road to reach their destination.

  • Vehicular movement will remain restricted between Chowk crossing and Nimbu Park. These vehicles can instead opt the Charak crossing route via Koneshwar Tiraha to proceed towards their desired destination.

  • Vehicles moving from Koneshwar crossing will not be able to go towards Ghantaghar/Bada Imambara. Instead, these vehicles can opt Chowk crossing-Kamla Nehru Crossing and move towards New Pakka Pul road and proceed towards their desired destination.

Surrounding routes near Aishbagh Eidgah will be closed for public transportation. Only individuals heading to their destinations to offer Namaz will be allowed to pass through the route.

  • Commercial vehicles will not be allowed to go towards the Mill Area from the Everyready intersection. Instead, these vehicles can proceed towards their destination via Mawaiyya Overbridge/Lagda Phatak Overbridge, Rajajipuram.

  • Similarly, vehicular movement will not be allowed between Bulaki Adda and Mill area. Instead these vehicles can opt for Rajajipuram/Mawaiyya route and head towards their desired destination.

  • Other vehicles choosing the aforementioned route to reach Hyderganj can opt Tikait Rai Talaab-Rajajipuram/Mawaiyya route to reach their desired destination.

  • The Naka-Aishbagh route will also remain closed for vehicular movement. Vehicles moving from Naka area can opt for Rakabganj bridge-Mawaiyya and head to their desired destination.
