UP has conducted 1,45,69,242 covid-19 tests till date; Lucknow's covid tally at 63,515

On Sunday, UP again ranked at the top spot in the country by testing almost 1.5 crore samples of the virus.

At present Uttar Pradesh has 4,83,832 confirmed corona cases and the state has also reported 4,53,458 recoveries as well while the death tally stands at 7,051. Till date, Uttar Pradesh has conducted 1,45,69,242 covid-19 tests and within 24 hours, 1,37,970 samples of citizens have been collected and the Test Positivity Rate is currently marked at 3.3%. On Sunday, UP again ranked at the top spot in the country by testing almost 1.5 crore samples of the virus and these testing provisions have been scaled up, in an effort to arrest the spread, especially during this festive season.

The Additional Chief Secretary, also stated that UP has registered a drop in the number of covid cases but however, extra precautions need to be in place so that the infection doesn't promulgate further. The authorities also mentioned that citizens have been taking the help of the e-sanjeevani portal for their health concerns.

In the capital of UP, at present, 63,515 confirmed corona cases have been reported and out of this number, 59,478 patients have recuperated. The active case tally stands at 3,151 right now and 886 fatalities have been recorded so far. Spike in cases was also recorded in Rae Bareli Road, Hazratganj, Madiaon, Indira Nagar, Alambagh, Jankipuram, Vrindavan Yojana, Chinhat, Vikasnagar, and Aliganj.

COVID-19 curve surges in Uttar Pradesh; Lucknow reports 325 fresh corona cases within 24 hrs

BMC issues guidelines for passengers flying to Mumbai from Delhi, Goa, Rajasthan & Gujarat

For domestic travelers, the RT-PCR sample collection is to be done within 72 hours before the scheduled time of arrival.

BMC has issued COVID-19 guidelines for passengers traveling by air to Mumbai from Delhi-NCR, Goa, Rajasthan and Gujarat, in an effort to curb the spread of the contagious virus. Now, these travelers will have to mandatorily carry a covid-negative (RT-PCR) report while travelling via flight. A sudden surge in the COVID-19 cases in the national capital and other states, has compelled Mumbai's civic body, BMC, to issue an advisory to Mumbai International Airport, for the effective implementation of latest guidelines for passengers.
