Application process for getting new electricity connections to be eased in Uttar Pradesh!

A move to save the time, energy & funds of the applicants

In a bid to ease the process for the state residents, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited has tweaked the services of the 'Jhatpat Connection' portal to make it consumer-friendly. In case errors or discrepancies are noticed in the application form, the concerned officials will not be allowed to cancel the registration. Instead, they will notify on the portal itself and the applicant will make the corrections and alterations so that the process moves further.

Over 1.06 lakh applications received in the month of June

The provisions of this new plan will help in simplifying the process so that the connection is ensured as soon as possible. As per records, 1.06 lakh applications were received in the month of June and nearly 10,000 out of these were canceled due to the presence of errors. While mistakes were a prime reason behind the cancellation of the forms, they were also rejected due to incomplete information. Driven by this, the consumers suffered on the financial front and the process got delayed too.

A move to save the time, energy & funds of the applicants

If a form is rejected, the applicant has to go through the entire process again and such a person has to bear the brunt of wasted time, energy and funds. M. Devraj, Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation informed that the latest intervention is being worked out to resolve these problems, ensuring the convenience of the consumers.

Now, the application filed on the portal will not be rejected due to incomplete or wrong entries. Though it is noteworthy that the major defaulters who have made mistakes while entering the important information will not be benefitted from this scheme.
