In a bid to amplify the healthcare services available in the city, a new 300-bed hospital will soon be established in Lucknow. Adding to the string of the city’s premier medical centres, this hospital is expected to be the 3rd largest facility in the public sector. The Chief Medical Officer has requested 15 acres of land in the Chak Ganjariya area from the Lucknow Development Authority for setting up this hospital. Subsequently, the LDA has started a search program for assigning a feasible area for the upcoming project.
An attempt to boost the city’s medical infrastructure
It has been stated that the state administration is executing focused measures for the erection of the new building. Additionally, the government has asked for recommendations from experienced and expert professionals in the medical field. With the deployment of a comprehensive scheme, the authorities plan to amp up the medical amenities for the next two decades.
After the CMO wrote a letter to the LDA officials last week, the concerned authorities have converged their efforts to allocate the land as soon as possible. As per the available information, the hospital will be set up over an expanse of 10 acres and the remaining land will be used for constructing offices and residences of the CMO and all other subordinate officers. Once the plans turn into reality, the latest development will upgrade the city’s medical infrastructure.
