UPSRTC to launch 'One Nation One Card' by end of April
In some great news for those who journey on roadways buses, city buses and metros, the UPSRTC is all set for the launch of the One Nation One Card concept. Known as the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), this new facility will allow passengers to pay the fare with a simple tap of their personalized card on a ticket machine.
How will NCMC work?
The National Common Mobility Card is equipped with 28 different types of software, and passengers will be able to use it to pay for their journey even when they're out of an active internet connection at the time. Passengers will have to pay no extra charge while using this facility.
Furthermore, users will be able to recharge their personalized card from a ticket counter at any of the UPSRTC bus stands or they can also do it online from the comfort of their home. Also, the passengers will be able to use NCMC for travelling across the country.
The card will be distributed in the second phase
As of now, the design of this personalized travel card is being finalized while the software is good to go. The card will be launched in the first phase but the distribution will be done in the second phase, which is expected to happen soon after the launch.
