The night curfew restrictions will now begin at 11 PM.

Witnessing a decline in COVID cases across Uttar Pradesh, the administration has offered certain relaxations in the pandemic-mandated restrictions in Lucknow, Kanpur and other districts in the state. Notably, the revised COVID guidelines will come into effect across the state from February 14.

In an attempt to offer relaxation to businesses and people, the administration has now allowed all commercial establishments in the state to function as per their pre-COVID schedule. All restaurants, cinema halls and other commercial establishments can now resume operations at their full capacity. Additionally, all educational institutes in Uttar Pradesh are also directed to resume physical classes from Monday.

Notably, gyms, swimming pools and water parks were shut down in the state due to the insurgence of the third wave of coronavirus in January. Apart from this, all commercial places were also ordered to function at 50% of the pre-COVID capacity in UP. All those bans will now be eased but the night curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM will continue across the state until further notice.
