In an attempt to streamline Uttar Pradesh’s coronavirus vaccination measures to match the standards set by the Government of India, UP govt has directed state officials to prepare a database of frontline workers. This digitised account will keep a track of the number of beneficiaries and the count of shots administered in the upcoming phase of the inoculation drive against COVID-spread.
UP strengthens its guards against COVID spread
Uttar Pradesh has started scaling-up its systems and services proactively, to shoulder the next phase of inoculation. Meanwhile, established facilities of tracing and treatment are also being fortified in the state. The Chief Minister has directed the concerned authorities to maintain effective arrangements for treatment of Covid-19, ensure adequate availability of essential medicines, medical equipment and backup of oxygen in all Covid hospitals. A government spokesperson said “Keeping in mind the important contribution of testing, in breaking the chain of coronavirus infection, the testing work in the state should continue to be done in full capacity,” he said.
