Lucknow is witnessing a surprising weather shift, with mornings and evenings blurring under a persistent blanket of clouds. The city has seen temperatures fall by up to 4°C, creating a winter-like chill that has prompted residents to bring out their warm clothes.

According to the meteorological department, Tuesday’s forecast indicates a minimum temperature of around 21°C and a maximum of 25°C; conditions more typical of early winter than late October.

Temperatures expected to rise again after two days

Lucknow experienced light drizzle on Monday in areas such as Gomti Nagar, Chinhat, and PGI, as weather conditions took an unseasonal turn. There are chances for continued rain across Lucknow and Purvanchal, influenced by the remnants of Cyclone Montha. Light to moderate rainfall, gusty winds, and isolated thunderstorms are expected between October 29 and 30.

The weather is likely to remain unstable over the next few days, with fluctuating temperatures and intermittent drizzle. The sudden cool spell has raised concerns among farmers about potential damage to standing crops due to untimely rainfall.

Despite the current chill, temperatures are expected to rise again after two days. The final week of October is likely to bring a mix of cool days and unpredictable weather across Uttar Pradesh.
