Today, on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Mumbai will unveil “Tea Break”, a sculpted tribute to the city’s unsung construction workers at Perry Road Junction, Bandra West. Created by sculptress Sangeeta Babani, the series features eight life-size sculptures capturing workers during their tea breaks, highlighting their significant yet often overlooked role in building Mumbai’s skyline.
Bollywood stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, along with notable figures like Ashish Shelar and Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vishvas Mote, will attend the inauguration. The installation encourages society to acknowledge these labourers’ dignity and appreciate their hard work.
