On February 4, 2025, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) presented its largest-ever budget of ₹74,427 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, a 14.19% increase from the previous year’s ₹65,180 crore. This budget reflects the ongoing shift in governance, as BMC has been under administrator rule since March 2022.
