Cyclone in Maharashtra? Here's what Rushikesh Agre of 'Mumbai Rains' has to say!

In an exclusive conversation with Knocksense.

In a riveting tale of meteorological drama, Mumbai finds itself at the centre of a stormy saga. A few days ago, 'Mumbai Nowcast' took to X, alerting about an impending cyclone brewing in the Bay of Bengal, likely to affect the states of Odisha, Maharashtra, and Gujarat between May 23 - 27.

However, amid the turmoil, Rushikesh Agre, the voice behind 'Mumbai Rains', debunked the predictions in an exclusive conversation with Knocksense. He confidently cited “No cyclonic threat looms over Maharashtra’s horizon. The Bay of Bengal cyclone will follow a specific course northward, and dwindle before reaching Mumbai.”

Rushikesh Agre's credibility is bolstered by his track record of accurate weather predictions in the past, consistently proving his expertise in forecasting Mumbai's weather patterns.

In the midst of uncertainty, Mumbai still eagerly anticipates the arrival of the monsoon rains. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), monsoon usually enters parts of Maharashtra around June 9-10, making its entrance into Pune by June 10 and Mumbai by June 11.

And so, Mumbai stands poised, ready to embrace the monsoon season with open arms, and say goodbye to the intense summer heat.
