Mumbai's 'Short+Salty' mini fest to highlight diverse LGBTQIA+ community experiences

A lineup of 10 compelling plays, 10-12 minutes each.

InQueerable’s 'Short+Salty' mini fest, slated to occur in Vile Parle East, is bringing the theatre community together to celebrate diversity and inclusion in a never-before-seen way. Featuring 10 captivating plays, this one-of-a-kind event will explore the complexities, triumphs, frustrations, and journeys of LGBTQI+ communities through a series of captivating stories.

Short+Salty is much more than a series of short plays; it’s a carefully curated collection of stories that seek to amplify marginalised voices and experiences across the LGBTQI+ spectrum. Every play is an exploration of human emotion, conflict, and relationships that transgress social boundaries and celebrate the beauty of difference. These stories include Pehli Shaadi, Love Sex Aani A/C, Aanchal Ki Mummy, A Woman That Lives Inside of Me, Ek Thi Diva, Apsara Aali, Nam Myoho Renge Crow, In Tehran, The Only Person In The Hall and Straight from the Heart.

This festival is a show put on by Theatre JIL Jil Ramamani in partnership with B Spot Productions and Kala Studio. It will be performed in Hindi, English and Marathi. The plays are put together by Vicky Phukan & Bhushan Kordaonkar and last around 10-12 minutes each. It's all put together in a 90-minute show. As one story ends, the next one starts, taking people on different paths.
