IIT-Bombay emerges as the most sought-after institute for JEE Advanced toppers
Recently, IIT Bombay has emerged as the preferred choice for the majority of top JEE Advanced position holders. Out of the top 100 candidates on the merit list, 89 of them opted for IIT-Bombay while 67 successfully secured seats at the institute.

Counselling Process initiated by JoSAA
Despite the introduction of modern technology programs in institutions like NIITs and IIITs, traditional engineering branches remain the preferred options for students.
After the announcement of the JEE Advanced results on June 18, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) initiated the joint counselling process for IITs, NITs and IIITs, by releasing the first 6 allotment lists on Friday.
IIT-Delhi, Madras and Kharagpur among other desired institutes
While IIT-Bombay remained the preferred choice for most IIT aspirants, IIT-Delhi attracted 6 candidates out of the top 100, while IIT-Madras was chosen by 4 candidates.
According to their statistics, IIT-Bombay remained the preferred choice among qualified JEE-Advanced candidates. Conversely, IIT-Kharagpur received the highest number of applications, with over 30,000 candidates applying for admission through the joint counselling process.
