Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC) comes bearing good news for commuters. The Foot Over Bridge (FOB), under-construction since 2021, at the southern end of the Dadar Station, Mumbai Western Railways (WR), is finally complete. Connecting platforms 1,2,3,5 and east skywalk, the new FOB is 58 meters long and 8 meters in width.
In the next two months, connectivity will further be extended to platform 4, meant for fast Churchgate locals. The approximate cost of building the FOB amounts to ₹8 crore.
Dadar being the busiest station of Mumbai Surban Railway, is subject heavy foot fall. It is the changing station for passengers who either take Western or Central railway routes. Notably, the new FOB will facilitate easy passage during evening rush hour.
