On Thursday, Mumbai Traffic Police (MTP) took to X to warn of major traffic slowdowns across the city on March 8-9, as Lollapalooza India 2025 makes its return to Mahalaxmi Racecourse. With a massive crowd expected, a traffic advisory has been issued and restrictions have been imposed for Lollapalooza India 2025 in Mumbai.

In addition to the Lollapalooza-related traffic, MTP issued a separate advisory for the Maharashtra Budget Session, which is set to run from March 3 to March 10. Motorists are urged to stay alert and plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.

“In a post on X, Mumbai Traffic Police wrote, “Looks like it’ll be an ‘eventful’ weekend at Mahalaxmi Racecourse and NSCI, Worli. Given that Arthur Road, Sant Ghadge Maharaj Road, and Senapati Bapat Road are partially under construction, expect slow traffic movement.”

Mumbai traffic advisory: List of routes to avoid

  • Ramnath Goenka Marg, from Sakhar Bhavan to its junction with Vidhan Bhavan, will be closed to all vehicular traffic as required throughout the session.

  • Pay-and-park facilities have been temporarily suspended on several roads, including Jamnalal Bajaj Road, Dorabji Tata Road, Vinay K. Shah Road, Ramnath Goenka Marg, and Vidhan Bhavan Road.

  • Emergency vehicles, such as fire brigades, ambulances, and police vehicles, are exempt from these traffic restrictions.

To further ensure a smoother commute to Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Police recommend that citizens use trains, monorails, and other public transport options. No Parking will be available at the venue.
