Maharashtra Budget Session 2025: Mumbai traffic advisory issued; know restrictions, routes to avoid
To ensure seamless traffic flow in South Mumbai, the Mumbai Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Maharashtra Budget Session 2025, which begins on March 3. The restrictions will stay in place until the session concludes, with the state budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year scheduled for presentation on March 10.

To manage traffic effectively and minimise inconvenience to the public, Mumbai Traffic Police has announced the following measures-
Temporary Suspension of Pay-and-Park Facilities
Parking will be restricted in the following areas due to limited space for dignitaries’ vehicles:
Jamanalal Bajaj Road (Usha Mehta Chowk to the dead end of the road)
Vinay K. Shah Road (Jamanalal Bajaj Road to Murli Deora Chowk)
Dorabji Tata Road (Murli Deora Chowk to Genda Point)
Ramnath Goenka Marg (Sakhar Bhavan to Vidhan Bhavan Road)
Vidhan Bhavan Road (Union Bank building to Madam Cama Road)
Designated Parking Areas for Dignitaries-
Parking for officials attending the session has been allocated at:
VV Rao Road
Free Press Journal Road
Road Closure & Traffic Diversions-
Ramnath Goenka Marg will be temporarily closed to regular traffic when required.
The closure will be enforced from Sakhar Bhavan to Vidhan Bhavan Junction.
Emergency vehicles (fire brigades, police, ambulances) will be allowed access.
People are advised to follow traffic regulations and use alternative routes to avoid disruptions.
