Marking 20 years in Mumbai, Etihad to roll out iconic A380 on Abu Dhabi-Mumbai Route from Sept 1
Etihad Airways is marking 20 years of service to Mumbai by introducing its iconic Airbus A380 on the Abu Dhabi-Mumbai route for a special four-month period.
Beginning September 1, 2024, the double-decker aircraft will operate three weekly flights between the two cities until December 31, offering passengers a luxurious experience typically reserved for long-haul travel.
Etihad plans more Indian connections
Starting from September 1 til, this move comes as Etihad commemorates its maiden flight to Mumbai on September 26, 2004. Over the years, the airline has expanded its Indian operations to include nonstop services to 11 cities, with plans for further growth.
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, highlighted that this is a rare opportunity, as the A380 is typically reserved for long-haul routes. The introduction of the A380 on the Mumbai route underscores the significance of this milestone and promises an enhanced travel experience for passengers during the celebration period.
The A380 will feature Economy Extra legroom seats, Business Studios designed in collaboration with Armani/Casa, promising an unforgettable journey for passengers.
