This year, with temperatures crossing all records across half of the country, people are eagerly waiting for the first drop of rain for this monsoon season. However, as per Skymet weather agency, delayed monsoon is taking it’s sweet time this year and is set to arrive by June 27 with heavy rainfall in Mumbai for 2-3 days.
Meanwhile, Mumbai has struggled with scorching summer woes and scanty rainfall throughout June.
Mumbai’s rainfall update
Half-way through June, Mumbai has recorded 526.3mm of average rainfall. In the past week, the metro city witnessed few showers of downpour with a maximum of mere 6 mm in the last 24 hours. The following week is going to be no different with a small number of showers here and there.
Besides, the RMD Mumbai, in its weather bulletin, has stated that the maximum temperature in the Santacruz area is expected to hover at around 32.1°C and minimum will stay at 19.8°C today. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in Colaba will be 31.6°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to be at 22.2°C.
