The World Pickleball League (WPBL) is set to return for its second season from January 24 to February 8, 2026, in Mumbai, promising an even grander spectacle of sport and entertainment. Following a blockbuster debut, Season 2 will feature elite global players, high-profile franchise owners, and cutting-edge innovations to elevate the fast-growing sport.

The inaugural season, held at Mumbai’s Cricket Club of India, saw participation from athletes across 14 countries, a revolutionary 15-minute match format, and celebrity-backed franchises owned by stars like Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rishabh Pant, Genelia-Riteish Deshmukh, and more. With Hawk-Eye tech and buzzing crowds, WPBL quickly scored fan-favourite status.
“Season 1 proved that India is ready not just to embrace pickleball, but to lead its evolution,” said WPBL Co-founder & CEO Gaurav Natekar. “Season 2 will be bigger, better, and bolder—with more competition, storytelling, and community.”
