Mumbai's BEST launches special ₹9/- Diwali offer; Check validity and eligibility here

Promoting 100% paperless, digital payments, Mumbai's BEST, on Tuesday announced a special Diwali offer for commuters. This one-time Diwali offer, when availed, brings 5 trips at just ₹9/-. As per the press statement, the offer is only valid for 7 days after registration.

Marking the festive season, it will be available till October 31. Read on to find out how to avail of the offer.

Reportedly, the offer is exclusive to BEST Chalo app users and can be availed from the app only. It is applicable to all users, even those who have never bought a Super Saver plan or made any digital payment on the app before.

All you need to do is download the BEST Chalo app and register yourself. The Diwali offer will be visible in the ‘Bus Pass’ section of the app. Select ‘Diwali Offer’, enter details and make an online payment of ₹9/- via UPI, debit or credit card and net banking to purchase the plan.

Now, once you board the bus, press the ‘Start a trip’ tab on your mobile screen. Tap your phone on the ticket vending machine for validation. On successful validation, a digital receipt for your trip will pop up on the BEST Chalo app.

The procedure can be followed when travelling on any route except Airport routes. Additionally, app users can avail the benefits of this plan by travelling on any type of bus operated by BEST, excluding, Hop-on Hop-off buses.

BEST recently achieved its highest-ever daily ridership, clocking over 35 lakh daily users, marking a 9% hike in passenger count compared to the pre-COVID levels. So far, over 12 lakh trips have been availed under various offers launched by BEST, including the ₹1 Freedom plan for Independence Day, the Ganesh Utsav offer for Ganesh Chaturthi and the Dussehra Offer during Navratri.
