A train journey to Goa is all set to become much more convenient for those living in Mumbai’s western Suburbs. The inaugural run of the bi-weekly Bandra Terminus-Madgaon Express train (10115) was flagged off this past Thursday, and this new Western Railway train will begin regular operations from September 4.

Usually, trains from Mumbai to Goa operate on Central Railway. This is the very first train from Western Railway to the Konkan Region. Furthermore, this new train will take 14 to 16 hours to complete its Mumbai to Goa journey.
This new train from Bandra to Goa will depart from Bandra Terminus every Wednesday and Friday at 06:50 AM to reach Madgaon by 10 PM on the same day. From Madgaon, the train will depart every Tuesday and Thursday at 07:40 AM to reach Bandra Terminus by 11 PM.
As for the composition, the train will feature AC II-tier, AC III-tier, AC III-tier Economy, Sleeper, and General Second Class coaches. On either side, this new train will stop at Borivali, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali stations.
