In an attempt to avoid congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow, Mumbai Traffic Police has introduced new entry timings for the south-bound arm of the Coastal Road. The entry timings from the Bindu Madhav Thackeray Junction end will be between 8 AM to 5 PM. Furthermore, entry from Lotus Junction, Amarsons Garden entry and exit till Marine Drive will be from 7 AM to 11 PM.
Notably, these timings will apply for all days of the week. Earlier, the speed limits had also been announced for the road, set at 80 km/h on the straight road, 60 km/h for the tunnel, and 40 km/h at turning points. Residents must note that videography or taking pictures on the route is strictly prohibited.
