On May 7, as per the schedule released by the Election Commission, 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra participated in the voting process in the third phase of the General Elections. Maharashtra, known for its political significance, witnessed a voter turnout of 61.44% by 11:40 PM. With 48 Lok Sabha seats in total, this phase marked a significant step in the electoral journey of the state.

Maharashtra's five-phase Lok Sabha Polls

Noteworthy was the diversity of participation, with approximately 2.09 crore people exercising their democratic rights on this crucial day. Among them, 1.07 crore were men, 1.02 crore were women, and 929 identified as transgenders. The 11 constituencies boasted 23,036 polling centres, with 114 flagged as "critical."

The turnout figures varied across constituencies, with Kolhapur leading at 63.71%, closely followed by Hatkanangale at 62.18%. Other notable figures include Latur at 55.38%, Satara at 54.11%, and Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg at 53.75%.

The ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra are scheduled in five phases, with Phase 4 and Phase 5 set for May 13 and May 20, respectively.
