Traffic advisory issued ahead of Vikas Aghadi meeting at BKC’s MMRDA Ground today

The Maha Vikas Aghadi is set to hold a major public meeting today at the MMRDA Ground in BKC, Bandra (East). The event is expected to draw a large gathering of activists, leaders, and supporters from across Maharashtra. In a bid to manage the influx and ensure public safety, the Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory, rerouting vehicles around the event area.

Road closures and alternate routes will be in place from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on November 6.

Traffic closures and alternate routes:

• Road closed: Vehicular traffic coming from Western Express Highway, Dharavi, and Worli Sea Link proceeding towards Kurla will be restricted from travelling through Bharat Nagar Junction towards Kurla.

• Alternate route: Vehicles from Bharat Nagar Junction should turn right towards SEBI Junction, then right at One BKC Junction, left at Canara Bank Junction towards MCA Club, pass American Consulate Junction, take a left at Tata Communication, and proceed from MTNL Junction towards Kurla.

• Road closed:- Vehicular traffic from Sant Dnyaneshwar Nagar heading towards Kurla will be restricted from passing through Bharat Nagar Junction towards Kurla.

• Alternate route: Vehicles from Bharat Nagar Junction should turn right towards SEBI Junction, take a right at One BKC Junction, then a left at Canara Bank Junction towards MCA Club, pass American Consulate Junction, take a left at Tata Communication, and proceed via MTNL Junction, Razzak Junction, Mumbai University, Hans Bhugra Junction, take a left, and continue through Western Express Highway, Kherwadi Govt. Colony, to reach Kherwadi in Bandra East.

• Road closed: Vehicular traffic from Kherwadi Govt. Colony, Kanakiya Palace, and UTI Tower heading towards BKC, Chunabhatti, and Kurla will be restricted.

• Alternate route: Take a left at Gurunanak Hospital, pass Mumbai Bank, Income Tax Junction, and NSE Junction, take a right at Bharat Nagar Junction, SEBI Junction, then One BKC Junction, and proceed from Connector Junction to Kurla and Chunabhatti.

• Road closed: Vehicular traffic from Kurla and Razzak Junction towards Western Express Highway, Dharavi, and Worli Sea Link will be restricted from travelling from Platina Junction to Bharat Nagar Junction.

• Alternate route: Take a U-turn at Platina Junction, proceed to MTNL Junction, turn right at Tata Communication, continue via American Consulate Junction, MCA Club, Canara Bank Junction, NSE Junction, then follow Western Express Highway through Family Court Junction, and proceed to Dharavi and Worli Sea Link.

• Road closed: CST Road will be closed to vehicular traffic.

• Alternate route: Use CST Road, head to MTNL Junction, turn right at Tata Communication, continue to American Consulate Junction, MCA Club, then Canara Bank Junction, take a left at NSE Junction, proceed to Western Express Highway, then Kalanagar Junction, Bhaskar Court Junction, and continue through Kherwadi Junction.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and seek alternate routes to avoid delays during the public meeting.
