Mumbai Airport has become the first venue in India to offer its flagship, on-demand electric vehicle (EV) services. The leading ridesharing app launched its EV product, Uber Green, on Wednesday. Now, passengers travelling to and from the airport can opt for eco-friendly transportation with a single tap.
Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 set as the pick-up zone for Uber Green
Terminal 2 of the Mumbai Airport will work as the dedicated pick-up zone for the new Uber Green services, along with a number of spots spread across the city. This way, passengers travelling to the airport from different areas will be able to opt for eco-friendly transportation.
Aside from boosting sustainability in India’s Financial Capital, this is also a major step for Uber towards becoming a zero-emissions mobility platform worldwide by 2040.
