Mumbai has recorded 606 mm of rain this September, making it the city's second wettest since 2021. Following heavy showers, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has lifted its alerts for the city. With rainfall exceeding 100 mm in some areas, September's rainfall is already significantly higher than the average of 380 mm, with the wettest September on record being in 2024.
The new Navi Mumbai International Airport has secured its crucial Aerodrome Licence from the DGCA ahead of its planned inauguration.
