In an exciting development for Mumbai’s recreational landscape, DN Nagar in Andheri (West) is poised to welcome the city’s first edutainment park. This themed-pavilion project covering four acres of land owned by MHADA, aims to seamlessly blend education and entertainment in a vibrant urban setting.
Visitors can enjoy three themed pavilions focused on space, the ocean, and the environment, plus a children’s play area, a semi-covered amphitheatre, and a state-of-the-art virtual reality 3D show. Construction is already in progress, with the first phase expected to be completed by October 2025.

This ₹16.34-crore new project features three themed pavilions dedicated to space, the ocean, and the environment, along with a children’s play area, a semi-covered amphitheatre, and a state-of-the-art virtual reality 3D show that will repurpose four existing structures into immersive learning spaces.
Ameet Satam, who champions the project, emphasises the importance of preserving open spaces. With a track record of developing 58 gardens and leading the Juhu beach beautification project, Satam is committed to enhancing community engagement.
Dhaval Shah, Founder of the Lokhandwala Oshiwara Citizens Association, praised the park as an essential educational resource, perfect for school field trips. The project reflects a growing trend in urban development, where entertainment meets education, enhancing community engagement in the city.
Set for 2025 launch
Construction commenced this month after the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) issued a work order on October 9, with the first phase scheduled for completion by October 2025.
In a city that lacks open spaces, this park is designed to serve not only as a recreational area but also to provide enriching experiences while safeguarding valuable public spaces from encroachment.
