Visitors at Mumbai's Botanical Garden and Zoo can now enjoy a more immersive experience with the launch of a new mobile application. The free app, ‘Mumbai Botanical Garden and Zoo' launched by the Save Rani Bagh Botanical Garden Foundation, will serve as a comprehensive digital guide for exploring the botanical garden.

This app will provide a detailed, educational journey through the zoo and the botanical garden, helping visitors navigate the lush spaces while learning about the diverse plant and animal life on display.

4,000 trees, 256 species, and more

The app, developed in collaboration with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and NAGAR, a non-governmental organisation, will serve as a digital pathfinder, providing detailed information about the zoo’s animal enclosures, heritage monuments, and the 4,000 trees within the garden. Users can also access fascinating insights about 256 species of trees, including historical and scientific details.

The app, available on both Android and iOS platforms, includes sections on theme gardens, biodiversity, and amenities, making it a valuable tool for visitors to navigate the sprawling 4-km network of pathways. With the launch event attended by notable figures like Dr. Sanjay Tripathi, Director of Byculla Zoo, the app promises to make visits more informative and enjoyable.
