NHSRCL begins aerial inspection for India's 2nd high-speed rail line on Mumbai-Nagpur corridor

Furthering the project for the introduction of bullet trains, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) on Friday initiated an aerial LiDAR inspection for Mumbai-Nagpur High-Speed Rail Corridor. Being conducted on the proposed stretch of 736 Km, the aerial study shall aid in the preparation of the detailed project report, as stated by sources. The expected corridor will connect Mumbai to towns like Nagpur, Khapri Deport, Karanjalad, Shirdi, Nashik, Igatpuri and Shahapur amongst other places.

NHSRCL signs deal with L&T-IHI consortium for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project

On Monday, the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) inked an agreement for the procurement and fabrication of 28 steel bridges with the L&T-IHI consortium. This contract was decided upon, for the 508 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor, popularly known as the bullet train project.

508-km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor slated to be completed by June 2022

As per reports, on Tuesday, the Indian Railways has received all the requisite wildlife, forestry and coastal regulation zone clearances in Gujarat and Maharashtra, for the 508-km long Ahmedabad-Mumbai High Speed Rail Corridor. The bullet train is expected to cover this distance approximately in two hours, at a speed of 350 km/hr. Additionally, the upcoming Dedicated Freight Corridor is expected to be completed by June 2022.
