Curfew extended in Goa till September 20 to curb impending 'third wave'

Gearing up to fight against the impending third wave of coronavirus, the ongoing COVID-induced curfew has been reinstated for a week in Goa.The government of Goa has extended the statewide curfew till September 20, which was earlier expected to end on September 13. This curfew was first imposed on May 9 and has since been extended, repeatedly.

With 532 new cases on Wednesday, Mumbai records the sharpest single-day spike since July 15

Since the beginning of September, Mumbai is witnessing a significant rise in the spread of novel coronavirus by recording over 400 cases every day. Around 532 new COVID-19 cases were reported here on Wednesday, reportedly the highest since July 15. With this, the city's active infection meter has ticked up to 4,435 cases, lodging its name among the five most infected districts of Maharashtra.
