Goa education department recommends offline examinations for classes 10 & 12

The Goa directorate of education has suggested that examinations for classes 10th and 12th should be held in an offline mode, with COVID-19 protocols in place. The directorate has pointed out that offline examinations can be easily conducted if students, teachers and staff wear masks, undergo thermal screening and use sanitisers. While a staggered seating arrangement has also been recommended to strengthen the defence, the state government is yet to take a final decision regarding the same, added reports.

All schools in Mumbai & other Maharashtra districts to reopen from October 4

Amid the dipping scale of coronavirus, the state of Maharashtra on Friday announced to resume offline classes across all schools from October 4. The decision has been placed after rounds of speculations with the health department, added reports. A graded unlock has been devised for schools and in the first phase, only classes 8 to 12 will get back to physical classes in urban areas. In the rural regions, however, students from classes 5 to 12 will return to school.

IRCTC's Tejas Express trains to shuttle daily between Lucknow & New Delhi from March 25

In order to meet the demands of increased passenger load during Holi, Indian Railways has planned to run Tejas Express on Lucknow and Delhi route, daily from March 25. Shuttling between Lucknow and New Delhi, these services have been lodged as the first-of-their-kind corporate train services in the country. Reportedly, the daily services will continue till April 5, 2021, after which the trains will run as per the old schedule.
