COVID vaccine registration to begin today at 4 PM for all adults; here's how you can register!

India is preparing to launch the largest segment of its nationwide inoculation drive against the coronavirus on May 1. This third phase of the vaccination campaign will focus on administering the COVID jab to citizens above 18 years of age, expanding the scope of the immunity drive for all adults. The registration option for this ambitious drive is all set open on April 28, 2021 at 4 PM and eligible beneficiaries can get their names listed on Co-WIN, Aarogya Setu or UMANG mobile applications.

Over 1 crore COVID vaccine jabs ordered for inoculation drives in Lucknow & other UP districts!

Furthering its plans for enhanced and extensive vaccination drives in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has ordered over one crore COVID-19 vaccine jabs. These doses shall be used to immunise citizens in the state over the age of 18, under the third phase of inoculation, slated for a start on May 1. This amplified schedule of vaccination is expected to be beneficial for arresting the uncontrolled infection rates being witnessed in Lucknow and other major districts.

Phase II of Mumbai's COVID vaccination drive: 29 Private Hospitals to now administer doses

Private hospitals in Mumbai have been inducted into the coronavirus vaccination drive, to meet the increased demands of Phase II of the inoculation process. Flagged off on March 1, the second segment of the COVID immunity drive aims to administer the COVID jab to all people over 60 years and those over 45 with specified co-morbidities. Further, 29 private hospitals, including Lilavati, Breach Candy and 27 others, under the authority of PMJAY, CGHS or State Health Insurance Scheme (MJPJAY), have been permitted to work as COVID vaccination centres here. COVID vaccination drive in Mumbai witnesses low turnout yet again; 50% get gift of the jab on Day 2

Mumbai hardly managed to vaccinate 1,597 people out of the listed 3,200 beneficiaries registered for vaccination on Tuesday, Day-2 of the coronavirus vaccination drive. Recording a similar attendance as Day-1, on Saturday, the malfunctioning of the CO-WIN mobile application, isolated cases of hesitation and refusal among people were pinned for almost half of the intended participation. These low numbers were observed to be a state phenomenon; Maharashtra's tally also plummeted from 64% on Saturday, to 52% on Sunday, vaccinating about 14,883 healthcare workers of the total 28,500.
