Goa's high literacy rate sets pace for an active vaccination drive in the state!

The state of Goa has been able to achieve a 43.8% coverage of the first dose vaccination here, clocking in a rapid rate of inoculation target achievement. This is a testimony of the public's positive outlook towards clinical resources against the COVID spread. The Chief Minister on Tuesday, further added that the state's high literacy rate may have bolstered the vaccination drive. ​Goa adopts 'track-test-treat' norms & strict protocols to effectively contain the COVID spread

The State Executive Committee (SEC) has issued an order to enforce strict preventive protocols across Goa after high-density urban areas reported a spike in COVID cases. On Friday, the daily surge of new infections clocked in 280 fresh cases raising health concerns among health and administrative officials alike. Consequently, district officials have been directed here to sternly impose coronavirus appropriate behaviour, including levying fines for violations, to effectively contain the infection threat.
