Mumbai-Nashik local train to facilitate better connectivity within Maharashtra soon!

Good news for the residents of Mumbai as after a long wait the Nashik-Kalyan Main Electrical Multipurpose Unit (MEMU) local train service has finally been approved by the authorities now. As per the reports, if the Mumbai-Nashik local gets a positive report at the trial run this December, it will be launched by the new year. With the addition of a local train on this route, the Indian Railway aims to boost intrastate connectivity in Maharashtra.

​Dehradun-Indore Express train to run every Friday & Saturday from July 23

The Railway Board has commissioned the run of the Indore Express and Ujjain Express from Dehradun in a bid to boost ease of travel and connectivity across states. As per reports, both trains have been scheduled for a bi-weekly run, in line with the COVID protocols. The Indore service will operate every Friday and Saturday from July 23, while the Ujjain train will operate every Tuesday and Wednesday from July 27. Both trains will depart at 5:50 AM from the Dehradun railway station towards their respective destinations, on the aforementioned dates.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad & Lucknow-Delhi Tejas trains resume operations; check details here!

India's first corporate, privately owned trains, Tejas Express got back on track on Sunday, after an 11-month long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic. Owned by the IRCTC subsidiary of the Indian Railways, Tejas Express has two operations- from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and Lucknow to New Delhi. Earlier, the trains services were suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the consequent low passenger load. However, the private fleet will now run, to meet the growing passenger demands.
