Now travel directly from Jharkhand to Goa via Indian Railways' new weekly train service!

In a bid to revive tourism, The Indian Railways introduced a direct train from Jharkhand to Goa on Tuesday. As per reports, train number 06398 Jasidih-Vasco Da Gama Express was virtually flagged off on September 28, by the Railway Minister. This new service will enable easy Goa travel for all those people from Jharkhand who used to drop their vacation plans to the coastal state, due to the unavailability of direct commute.

Jaipur-Udaipur superfast special train to be back on tracks from August 16

In view of the declining rate of coronavirus infection in Rajasthan, Indian Railways is set to resume some special trains, shuttling between the important cities. Among these, the Jaipur-Udaipur superfast special train will also be resuming operations from August 16. As per the schedule, the mail express train will run between the two cities, every day.

Remodelled Gangapur City Yard to facilitate high-speed run of trains on the Delhi-Mumbai route

The services of Indian Railways along the Delhi-Mumbai route will now race through a speed of 130 kmph, facilitating rapid travel between the two cities. This development has been made possible with the completion of the Ganagapur City Yard remodeling project, last month. The project reached its last leg in July.

Hop aboard the Vistadome coach of the Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express to cruise along a scenic ride!

Redefining train travel, the Indian Railway's Central Railway zone has decided to add a Vistadome coach in the Mumbai-Pune Deccan Special Train, which is all set to hit the tracks from June 26. It is for the first time that such luxury coaches will run along the scenic route, offering a scenic cruise to all travellers, between the two cities. As per protocols amid the COVID outbreak, only passengers having reserved tickers will be allowed to board the special service, in compliance with all SOPs and other safety norms.

Negative COVID report must for train travel from these 6 states to Mumbai & other Maha districts

Amid the high resurgence of COVID-19 in Maharashtra, especially Mumbai, the state authorities have ordained new and stricter train travel protocols. All train travellers reaching the state from Kerala, Goa, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat and Uttarakhand need to compulsorily provide a negative COVID report, tested by the RT-PCR method 48 hours before the travel. The administration has labelled these six regions as the 'places of sensitive origin' in terms of coronavirus infection, read reports. Besides this, a new SOP has also been established for travel in long-distance trains, from the listed states, to curb the virus transmission within Maharashtra's limits.
