COVID curbs for cinema halls, markets & hotels eased across Indore & other MP districts

Madhya Pradesh administration, in view of the receding COVID cases, has awarded a set of new relaxations, effective today onwards. All markets in Indore and other MP districts will now be permitted to operate till 10 PM, each day. The staggered timings will categorically reduce overcrowding in market areas, especially during closing hours. Besides, cinema halls have been permitted to function at 50% capacity while hotels have received a nod to operate at 100% potential.

43 buses return on 9 routes in Indore after a 2-month hiatus

The Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited (AICTSL) resumed 43 buses across the city on Thursday, after 2 months of hiatus due to COVID restrictions. These services have resumed operations along 9 routes in Indore, including Bhawarkuan, Nehru Park, Dewas Naka, MR-10, Aurobindo, Gangwal, Gandhi Nagar among others. The commuter count remained considerably low, thus manageable on the first day of resumption.

'Unlock' interventions speed up in Indore with new relaxations announced today!

After the Madhya Pradesh government issued guidelines for further relaxation of restrictions, the Indore district administration has allowed the opening of markets in full capacity. As per reports, all shops and retail centres are permitted to operate from 9 AM to 8 PM, today onwards. Further, government offices are allowed to function with 100% attendance while the private institutions have been asked to call 50% of employees, every day.

Curfew curbs relaxed in Indore after 64 days with the execution of 'Unlock 3' today!

After a long tryst with the second wave of the pandemic, amplified unlocking interventions are being worked out in Indore. As per reports, hotels, restaurants, malls, religious institutions and other places shall be reopened today while the educational centres shall remain closed. After a long and strict curfew in Indore, city residents can express relief as the infection positivity rate has dipped significantly. In light of the latest developments, the Crisis Management Committee of the district has indicated that Indore might start relaxing the curfew soon. While the current infection rate is above 5%, following COVID protocols may help in lowering it in the next 2-3 days. If Indore manages to keep the numbers in check, then this city can also start to unlock from 1 June, reportedly.
