Rajasthan records 22 fresh COVID cases on Monday, the highest single-day spike in 3 months

Rajasthan yet again found itself amid a pandemic scare after reporting 22 fresh COVID cases on Monday. While no death was reported in the last 24 hours, the new case tally has been logged in as the state's highest-single day spike in 3 months. The day's recovery count was marked at 10 patients. As per bulletin records, Rajasthan's coronavirus tally and toll presently stand at 9,54,628 and 8,955, respectively.

Micro-containment zones to double in Jaipur as district adopts strict lockdown action plan

In a high-level COVID review meeting on Saturday, the Jaipur administration has finalised an upgraded action plan to curb the rate of infection in the Pink City. An extension of the existing restrictions, this new strategy aims to double the number of micro-containment zones in the district. Strictness too, will be raised here and all public movement will be shut completely. Reportedly, strong action will be taken against those who roam about needlessly.

13 districts in Rajasthan including Jaipur to observe night curfew from 8 PM-6 AM till Jan 15

The state of Rajasthan issued new guidelines on Saturday to curtail the spread and transmission of the coronavirus infection. In a circular issued by the state, 13 districts, including capital Jaipur have been directed to observe a night curfew from 8 PM to 6 AM until January 15. All shops, commercial establishments and other services, except those deemed essential or exempted from the order, will shut down by 7 PM, stated the order.

Second phase trials of indigenous coronavirus vaccine, COVAXIN, begin in Jaipur

The success of the first phase trials and consequent positive feedback by the Indian Council of Medical Research has paved the way for the initiation of phase II trials of the COVAXIN vaccination in Jaipur, on Friday. COVAXIN is India's first indigenous vaccine against the spread of coronavirus, which is being co-produced by the Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech and National Institute of Virology, under the guidance of the ICMR.

Jaipur's COVID-19 active caseload plummets to negatives as recoveries surpass new cases

December has brought a huge respite to the residents of Jaipur, from the constantly rising number of coronavirus cases. Since December 1, the infection graph of the coronavirus among new hosts has been sloping to smaller figures.
