Indore's Sarwate Bus Stand to become operational by September end

Passenger buses will be operational from the Sarwate Bus Stand in Indore by the end of September, in a bid to boost the transport services in the city. With the execution of streamlined efforts, the officials are trying to complete all pending interventions within a period of 45 days. Reportedly, the illegal shops in the premises will be removed to create space for proper stationing, management and run of the vehicles.

Indore's Nehru Park to get a facelift; much-loved toy train to be brought back too!

With an aim to revive Nehru Park as a major recreational centre in the city, Indore Smart City Development Limited is trying to revamp the old garden. As per reports, the body will work for the addition and up-gradation of facilities in the park, in a bid to bring back its lost glory. While the renovation plans for one of the city's oldest parks have been underway for over 3 years now, it is expected that the project will be finished by December 2021.

Indore police officials undergo sign language training assuring justice for the disabled!

In a bid to support citizens with speech or hearing disabilities, the police officials of Madhya Pradesh's Indore Division are being given training about the basics of sign language. Launched upon the directives of Indore Zone IG, the first-of-its-kind scheme in the nation will help in strengthening the law enforcement system by making it more inclusive. Reportedly, the police officers are being trained to understand hand signals, gestures, facial expressions and body language.

Indore civic body to initiate serosurvey for detecting antibodies amongst kids below 18

In an attempt to assess the state of the pandemic in Indore, the officials have planned to initiate a serosurvey amongst children below the age of 18. This process will help in detecting the presence of antibodies among minors and thereby, the officials will be able to gauge the level of immunity against the possible third wave of accelerated infections. As per reports, more than 1800 children from 25 different municipal regions of the city would be roped in for the survey.
