1st FIA-backed Formula Regional Indian Championship & Formula 4 to be held in Feb 2022!

Adding a dash of thrill to sports events in the country, the FIA-backed Formula Regional Indian Championship and Formula 4 Indian Championship will be organised for the first time in the country, in February 2022. As per the plans, the two categries of races will be held across 4 cities, namey--New Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. Certified by FIA, the events will be based on F3 cars and the winners shall be able to garner benefits for participating in major championships.

Monsoon to arrive in Jaipur by Monday, predicts MeT department

The monsoon is expected to lash Jaipur, Ajmer and Bharatpur divisions of Rajasthan by Monday, a report of the meteorological department stated. Several isolated regions in the state also received pleasant pre-monsoon showers on Friday and the mild to moderate rains lowered the impact of mercury here. However, the short wet spell later raised the humidity index of the state, up to 90 to 95%.

Indian President lays the foundation of Ambedkar Centre at Lucknow's Aishbagh on Tuesday

The President of India, during his Lucknow visit on Tuesday, laid the foundation stone for the Dr. Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Centre at Aishbagh. Oxygen Swavalamban Yojana: Maharashtra to hike O2 supply ahead of the expected third wave

Ahead of the expectant fear of the third wave surge of coronavirus, the state of Maharashtra on Thursday, signed up for the task of boosting oxygen supply and storage facility to accommodate 3,000 metric tonnes of liquid medical oxygen every day. At present, the state's LMO generation capacities are maxed at 1,300 tonnes a day. Reportedly, this hiked ambition has been introduced under the banner of 'Oxygen Swavalamban Yojana', to ensure the state's preparedness in the face of anticipated COVID rise.

Lucknow's COVID scale hovers at 24 new infections & 12 recoveries on Thursday!

In the last week, Lucknow's COVID scale with respect to new infections, has clocked an average of 20 cases every day and on Thursday, the tally hovered at the 24 mark. While recovery has been steady here, the number of discharges remained limited to just 12 recoveries, just half of the count of fresh detections. With these statistics, Lucknow nurses an aggregate of 281 active cases, the highest across Uttar Pradesh.
