We remember watching Maleficent when we were teenagers, don’t we? We would watch it over and over again. The movie was a serious blockbuster and loved amongst teenagers. Guess what guys? Maleficent is back with a sequel- Maleficent: Mistress of Evil! Disney released the teaser trailer on Tuesday (May 14) and our fantasy deprived hearts cannot wait for more.

Trying to tell the story of one of the most iconic villains, the first movie was centered around Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) from the villain's point of view, showcasing the King as the villain.

While the sequel has come out several years after .the release of “Maleficent”. The new movie explores the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries to save the forest kingdom as well as the moors.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is directed by Joachim Ronning. We will once again see the film stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning as the Evil witch Maleficent and Princess Aurora respectively.

Angelina looks fierce and bold in her role as the evil witch ‘Maleficent’ in the teaser. The new look for Maleficent has left fans seriously wonder-struck.

The new sequel is joined by some newer and some old characters played by a remarkable roster of talented actors. A few of them even pop out in the teaser. The actors include Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.

After the trailer release, twitter was quite abuzz with reactions:

It has been almost five years since the first Maleficent movie released five years ago, which was a huge success for Disney. This year Disney is all set for live action theatrical releases of classic stories such as “Aladdin” and “The Lion King.”
