Various parts of Uttar Pradesh are currently experiencing increased humidity, attributed to the arrival of moisture-laden, easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal. The combination of daytime humidity and intense sunlight has led to significant discomfort for residents of cities like Kanpur.
According to weather experts at CSA University, Kanpur, the recent rise in wet bulb temperature has made the city feel hotter than the recorded temperature, over the past week. However, the city might experience rainfall, in the next 2-3 days.
Meteorological Department predicts rainfall in the coming days
Despite a notable increase in humidity levels, Kanpur saw a decrease of 2°C in maximum temperature on Wednesday. According to the latest IMD weather report, today’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 37°C, with a minimum of 27°C.
Moreover, cloud cover is set to intensify, bringing along thunder and lightning at the local level by May 13. Dust storms are anticipated, and there’s a chance of rain in Kanpur and other parts of UP.
