A few days back, the meteorological department recorded a dip in night temperatures by about 2-3 degrees making it likely that winter would set in by Diwali. The past few years have seen a late onset of winter, usually by the end of November and dropping to very low temperatures during December and January.

The early onset of winter is certainly a pleasant surprise to Lucknowites who are already shopping for the latest and trendiest woolies.
