Adding to the list of social welfare schemes functional in Lucknow, 3 centres have been set up at Alambagh, Chowk and Yahiyaganj for free distribution of COVID medicines. Instituted under the leadership of Hazrat Maulana Mohammad Rabe Hasani and Maulana Bilal Hasni, this service is expected to benefit a large count of beneficiaries. Deprived and needy individuals get can free medicines at these sites after showing a positive test report.
Multiple schemes to assure comprehensive benefits for COVID patients
All India Payam-E-Insaniyat, which is the organisation behind this initiative, is also involved in other altruistic interventions. As a part of their multiple schemes, free meals are being given to desolate senior citizens above 60. In addition to this, free teleconsultation services and free ambulance facility is also being provided by the body, ensuring that no requirement of a COVID patient goes neglected or unheard.
In case a citizen wants to get a free ambulance service, he can contact at 9335528866 and quick help will be provided to him/her. Starting from 8 AM in the morning, the service will be operational till 8 PM in the evening. Additionally, one can contact at 8004269557 for getting free consultation by a qualified doctor between 11 AM and 4 PM. Through these facilities, the organisation is making sure that almost all primary needs of COVID-affected individuals are addressed.
Working towards the service of humanity
Speaking to Knocksense, Shirajuddin, media-in-charge of the organisation said,” Through this initiative and the services that it provides, we aim to help and support as many individuals as possible, so that they don’t have to face a lot of troubles during the ongoing pandemic. Our objective is to serve humanity and all individuals, irrespective of their caste and religion, will be benefitted. It is also important to safeguard the citizens against black marketing.”
He further stated that the next step by the organisation will be directed towards aiding the children who have lost their parents to COVID. Informing that a list of such kids is being prepared, he said that necessary measures for protecting their health, education and safety will be taken. A number of socially spirited individuals and welfare groups are coming forward to help such kids, which have been hit hard by fate.
