Initiated by Uttar Pradesh Roadways, the Pink City Bus service began its maiden run on Tuesday, connecting the cities of Lucknow and Jaipur. This UPSRTC bus will run all round the week, opening a new avenue of easy commute for people. An economic means of travel, the special bus will race through the entire trip in about 12 hours.

The bus service started its journey towards Jaipur from Lucknow’s Alambagh bus terminal at 7 PM on Tuesday, reaching the destination at around 7 AM, the next day. Following a similar schedule during the return trip, the bus departed from Jaipur’s Sindhi Camp at 7 PM on the same day. Reports have highlighted that the Pink City Bus service will run as a daily service for the benefit of frequent travellers.
This Uttar Pradesh Roadways transport facility will map a distance of about 600 km between the two-state capitals and a feasible ticket fare has been priced. Passengers hopping onto this facility have to pay ₹1,171 to board the bus. The online bookings began on Monday and one can easily book their tickets by simply logging on to the UPSRTC website.
