None

Who doesn’t want to go out and have some fun with their friends? We are all looking for a small break in our daily-busy schedule where we can have a good ol’ conversation with our pals, enjoy some delicious food and not go broke during the entire ordeal. We all know ‘hanging out’, ‘going out’ and ‘chilling’ are all synonyms for ‘spending money’ and if you’re a student on a tight budget, that is often not a real-life possibility.

Which why, a ton of student friendly places haves opened their doors in and around Kakadeo and you will not hear us complaining. ‘Kulhad The Open Cafe’ is a gem of a place, which is not just affordable, but also serves as an amazing hangout spot! Believe us, the cafe and the great tea they serve here, is all you need in your life.

Located in the student hb of the city, the cafe truly is a Godsend. The outlet is “open cafe” which means that everything about the cafe is ou in the sun. Shaded by a huge neem tree the cafe directly opens up to the blue skies and provide the necessary warmth during dreary rainy days. To be honest, we get the upscale ‘Tapri’ feel here and we absolutely love it.

The idea of an open cafe is intriguing in itself and add to the fact that this cafe has a truly charming decor, a wonderful wooden-natura seating arrangement and lays focus on serving the signature “kulhad wali chai” which we all know and love.

Though centered around the idea of “chai pe charcha”, this wonderful place serves a ton of variants when it comes down to our basic pot boiled tea and has upscaled it all. From your basic kadak chai to masala chai, slow simmered Nawabi-elaichi chai and even a concoction they call “spiced hot chocolate chai”, which is a beautiful blend of hot cocoa, tea and warm spices, making it taste like a strong flavoured winter beverage. If you’re a fan of chocolate, tea and mixing things up a bit, we would a hundred percent recommend trying the chocolate chai.

The cafe also serves a ton of other staples, such as bun maska, masala maggi, spicy chilli maggi, creamy pastas, sandwiches and a ton of other snacks that you can munch on while sipping the sweet life giving nectar we call-tea. You can also find a ton of mojitos, shakes and mocktails here, the spicy mango mojito and the kikat shake are especially famous.

So head to the cafe, enjoy grabbing a bite in the lush outdoors, have a proper hang-out with the gang or just your bestie and pay dirt cheap prices for amazing dishes.
