The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has launched the ‘Ahmedabad Metro (Official)’ mobile ticketing application, in a bid to ease travel. This new app aims to simplify the ticket booking process for metro commuters, offering a paperless and efficient travel experience.
The app allows users to purchase metro tickets through Debit/Credit cards and UPI, eliminating the need for long queues at ticket counters. Commuters can easily book tickets from anywhere, selecting departure and arrival stations, viewing fare details, and confirming tickets with just a few taps. Payments are securely processed via UPI, and once completed, a digital ticket is immediately generated.
The app also provides travel information, such as station timetables, train stoppages, and operating hours for the first and last trains. Booking tickets through the app is quick and simple. To use it, passengers need to open the app, select ‘Book Ticket,’ choose their stations, view the fare, and make the payment via UPI. Once the payment is processed, the digital ticket is ready for use, making travel easier and more efficient.
