This decline has reached record lows, with minimal to no registrations in certain languages, particularly after the pandemic period. The varsity is now making efforts to broaden its outreach through media agencies to encourage registrations in its local language courses.

Amid all the hype around the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup, Rauf Sheikh, a local jeweller from Ahmedabad has now created a miniature replica of the World Cup 2023 trophy. During the 2014 World Cup, Rauf crafted a similar trophy weighing 1.200 grams. However this time, he has broken his record by perfecting another gold trophy weighing just 0.9 grams.
Himalayan orange-headed thrush spotted in Gujarat
The orange-headed thrush, a small and brightly coloured bird typically native to Himalayan regions, the Eastern Ghats, and Sri Lanka, was recently sighted in Ahmedabad. This observation was made by a member of the Gujarat-based birdwatching community, and as a result, the thrush has been added to the state’s species database, bringing the total number of bird species in the region to 117.
