Improving City parking: Municipal shift towards paid solutions
In response to the issue of clustered and disorganized parking contributing to traffic congestion, the AMC is taking steps to add more paid parking spaces and optimize available spaces. To achieve this, the municipality is seeking tenders from private agencies to develop a strategic plan for the implementation of a revised parking policy in the city.
The envisioned plan includes establishing fixed parking charges, determined by the land value in each specific area.

Impact Guru Foundation launches Care on Wheels (COW) for slum healthcare
To provide healthcare aid in slum areas, the Impact Guru Foundation, in collaboration with Kotak Mahindra, has launched six Care on Wheels (COW) units. These mobile clinics will serve 56 slum areas in Ahmedabad city, with each COW visiting two areas daily.
The vehicles, equipped with a doctor, pharmacist, and driver, aim to provide primary healthcare services. If additional treatment is required, patients will be referred to the corporation-run hospital.
Ambika Flyover to remain closed for 10 days
The Ambika Flyover will be closed for 10 days to initiate piloting and segment work for the Bullet Train pilot project on the Vatva-Narol Ambika Flyover`. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes, such as the GIDC crossing from Durganagar to Punitnagar railway crossing. Vinzol railway crossing can be used to reach Vinzol village from Sadbhavana Cross Road.
Sahyog Foundation’s efforts to promote healthcare
