The Meteorological Department has forecast a two to three-degree Celsius rise in maximum temperatures across all districts in Gujarat, following the recent unseasonal rain. Since yesterday, central Gujarat has experienced significantly high temperatures, with Ahmedabad recording a yearly high of 43.6°C.

A five-day forecast from the weather department indicates that Ahmedabad will remain under a Yellow Alert due to the extreme heat, while Saurashtra is under an Orange Alert. Meteorologist Ambalal Patel predicts temperatures could peak at 45°C in some areas. A sudden increase of four degrees from Wednesday to Thursday has left residents struggling with the heat. Today's temperature is expected to climb even higher, reaching up to 44°C.

However, relief is on the horizon, with the monsoon expected to arrive between June 7th and 14th.
